THE STORY
Ella&il was founded in Norway in 2014 by sisters-in-law Lene and Rikke, with a shared frustration. After years in the fashion industry, they noticed the same pattern: bestsellers sold out in an instant and never returned. Prints and trends dominated one season, then vanished the next. It didn’t make sense. At the same time, everyday essentials felt minimal but impersonal, feminine pieces were expressive but rarely effortless. There was little in between. Now, Ella&il creates the pieces that fill that gap.
When we founded Ella&il in 2014, our vision was clear: to create a seasonless wardrobe that transcends fleeting trends and embraces timeless style. We saw firsthand how fashion moves fast - but we wanted to slow it down and focus on what truly matters: quality, longevity, and effortless elegance. Designed in Norway and deeply rooted in the Scandinavian way of living, Ella&il is a blend of minimalism, conscious luxury, and elevated ease. Every piece is carefully crafted from the finest, sustainably sourced materials - including merino wool, soft cashmere, mohair, and organic cotton - ensuring both comfort and durability.
